And of course, food is cheap. In fact, I think that is such a boon if you're a cheapskate that you can't really go hungry. Just as well, as I've noticed that the prices of other things in KL is almost comparable to Singapore and New Zealand now.
It must be the fact that KL has finally one of the "affluent" Asian cities just like Singapore and Hong Kong. Forget about the broken sidewalks and streetlamps - I think they'll never really be fixed in time, this is Malaysia after all. KL is still highly affluent.

Ramen
Ais kacang (perfect for those 30'C nights) - it's just ice with chocolate/bandung sauce and lots of other sweet things.
