Ah Venice.. I've always loved that saying from Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade after Indy made love with Elsa. There's definitely always a charm coming to Venice no matter how many times you've been there.
Of course, Venice is the capital of a wide region called the Veneto which occupies much of the northeastern coast of Italy but there are several cities in the region which have plenty of history and have their own charms, i.e. Padova and then there's Verona, the city made legendary by its fictional relationship with Shakespeare's own Romeo and Juliet.
Verona is the sort of place you definitely want to take your girlfriend, partner or husband. The number of couples pashing or writing their names on the wall is almost nauseating. This is definitely the city of love.
But beyond love, there's plenty to love about Verona - possibly the most German of all Italian cities with its cleanliness and cool Alpine river.
Did you touch Juliet's breast?
